The Fabulous Life of Kékfrankos

Kékfrankos is the most widely planted blue grape variety in Hungary, and one of its superpowers is that it ranges from light rosés, through the typical local Shiller, to exciting reds. In this walk-around tasting, we’ll take a look at six reds, starting with a very recent vintage, moving on to single vineyard bottlings and finishing with a commanding Szekszárd Bikavér, a traditional Kékfrankos-based blend.
