This explosive red wine has an enveloping nose of the ripest red berries, summer flowers and seashells. Then comes the almost overwhelming combination of richness, superfine tannins and fresh acidity that almost knocks you off your chair. There’s also a dusty, hot, dry earth character that makes the extremely persistent finish feel emphatically dry. A blend of the Hungarian kekfrankos and kadarka grapes with merlot, pinot noir and syrah. Drinkable now, but best from 2026. -jamessuckling.com (97 pts)
