The vineyard is named after Saint Giles (Szent Egyed), a revered saint in medieval Western Europe, whose name was adopted by Walloon settlers in the Eger region.
The wine is a blend of Kékfrankos, Merlot Cabernet franc and Syrah from the Nagy-Eged vineyard.
„What a beauty this stunning red wine blend is. The aromas of black cherries and mulberries are augmented by notes of white pepper, bark and a wealth of delicate spicy notes. There’s as much ripeness as freshness on the concentrated and velvety, medium- to full-bodied palate. Then comes the scintillating sweetness and vibrancy in the very long finish.” -jamessuckling.com (95 pts)
