Füleky Tokaji Szamorodni, 2021

Light, clean and flowery, citrus blossom hints, with a bit of oak barrel character on the nose. On the palate, vibrant acidity, sweet tone, but not overtly so, beautifully balanced. Some honeycomb, botrytis notes, freshly dried apricot and apricot kernel with its fine bitterness, which spices the whole sip up elegantly. Nice, long finish, with scents of right-now-cooking fruit preserve.

Serving suggestion:
– complex poultry dishes, even with thick sauces
– cold pâtés
– burrata caprese
– light fruit pies
– mature cheeses like comté, beaufort, mature cheddar, leicester or gouda
– layer cake with dried apricot and honey-buttercream
– apricot stuffed dumpling with loads of butter toasted breadcrumbs
